Get to know me
Hello, my name is Kaila Marcus! I recently graduated summa cum laude from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations and a certificate in New Media.
With a lifelong passion for writing and strong opinion on the oxford comma, I’ve had the opportunity to strengthen my skills and gain industry experience through multiple opportunities.
Having served as a Social Media and Blogging Intern and a Communications Intern at two respective nonprofits, an agency copywriter for a popular Atlanta coffeehouse and a guest writer at the Institute for Public Relations, I am well-versed in short-form and long-form writing.
I have proven successful at promoting a distinctive brand voice through compelling copy and appealing to a target audience on multiple platforms. I have experience with AP Style, Microsoft Office, Google Suite, WordPress and several design softwares. I also pride myself on being diligent, detail-oriented and collaborating well with a team.
